He risked his entire firm’s $12M on “SoftSoap, ordered 100M dispensers, sold his company within 7 years, in 1987, to Colgate-Palmolive for $61M. Taiwanese Guey-Chuan Shiau invented the automatic soap dispenser in 1989.
